CHAPTER 1. An act supplementary to an act entitled An Act to Regulate Elec- tions, Ratified March 6th, 1899the same being chapter five hundred and seven of the Public Laws of 1899. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact: That chapter 507, of Public Laws of 1899, entitled An Act to Regulate Elections, ratified March 6, 1899, be amended to read as follows:

If the applicant for registration is an Indian, his name shall appear in a separate column from the columns for the names of the white and colored persons.
