CHAPTER LXIX. AN_ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 68, REVISED CODE, PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF CLERKS IN ISSUING MARRIAGE LICENSE. Section |. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the aw thority of the same, That so much of section two -2 of said chapter, Revised Code, as requires the Clerk to take bonds with sufficient security, in the sum of one thousand dollars, payable to the State of North Carolina, conditioned that there is no lawful cause to obstruct the marriage, which bond shall be filed in office, and may be put in suit and recovered by the person aggr ieved by the issuing of license, or by the marriage, is hereby repealed.

Be it / further enacte!, That said section be further auieadedias follows, to-wit : The Clerk of the County Court of the county, in which the feme resides, shall issue a license for the marriage of any person not in this chapter prohib ted, to any person applying for the same, directed to any ordained minister or Justice of Peace, in which license he shall state the names of the parties in full, and the parents of each, when known, and also whether the parties are white or colored.
