CHAPTER LXXXVI. AN ACT TO AMEND THE ACT INCORPORATING THE TOWN OF MORGANTON, AND ACTS AMENDATORY OF SAID ACT.
Zhe Greneral Assembly of North Carolina do enact, That the mayor of the town of Morganton, and his successors in office, shall be constituted an inferior court and as such shall have and exercise within the corporate limits of said town all the jurisdiction, powers and duties given to justices of the peace in the chapter of Battles Reyisal entitled Criminal Proceedings, but without impairing the jurisdiction given by law to other justices of the peace.
