CHAPTER 254 An act to establish public schools for the town of Littleton, with a special tax supplemental thereto. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact :
That the special taxes thus levied and collected from the taxable property and polls of said school district shall be expended in keeping up public schools in said district for the white and colored. races of both sexes, between the ages of six and twenty-one years of age, and the said special taxes shall be equally divided between the schools for white and coloredone-half -4 to the school for the white race and one-half -4 to the school for the colored race.
