CHAPTER 83 An act to amend the charter of the city of Winston. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
That the city of Winston is hereby authorized to purchase, within one mile.of the corporate limits of said city, suitable grounds for cemeteries, one for burying the dead of the white and one for burying the dead of the colored, to be under the supervision and control of the city, with powers to make such regulations as shall be deemed proper for regulating the burying of the dead therein, and to have police jurisdiction thereon.
