CHAPTER 168 AN ACT TO ESTABLISH A GRADED SCHOOL DISTRICT AT HOPE MILLS, NORTH CAROLINA. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
The said Board of Graded School Trustees may establish graded public schools for the white and colored children of said graded school district. And said Board of Trustees shall appropriate and use the funds derived from said special taxes, and from other sources, in such manner as they may deem just to both races, providing equal school facilities for each race, due regard being paid, however, to the difference in cost of maintaining said schools.
