CHAPTER 299 AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR A GRADED SCHOOL IN THE TOWN OF WILLIAMSTON, N. C. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
That it shall be the duty of said Board of Graded School Trustees to establish graded public schools for the white and colored children of said graded school district. And said Board of Trustees shall appropriate and use the funds derived from said particular taxes, and from other sources, in such manner as may be deemed just to both races, providing equal school facilities for each, due regard being paid, however, to the differ ence in the cost of maintaining said schools: Provided, that all donations to said schools shall be applied as directed by the donors,
