CHAPTER 333 AN ACT TO ESTABLISH A GRADED SCHOOL AT OXFORD. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

That it shall be the duty of said Board of Graded School Trustees to maintain a graded school for the white children and a graded school for the colored children of said town, and the said Board shall use and appropriate the funds derived from the said special taxes and from all other sources as shall be just to both races, due regard, however, being paid to the cost of maintaining the graded school for each race.
