CHAPTER 384 AN ACT TO ESTABLISH GRADED SCHOOLS IN THE TOWN OF EDENTON. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
That it shall be the duty of said Board of Trustees to establish graded public schools for the white and colored children of said Edenton Graded School District, and the said Board of Trustees shall use and appropriate the funds derived from the said special tax herein provided for in such manner as shall be just to both races, without prejudice, and giving to each equal school facilities, due regard being had, however, to the cost of establishing and maintaining the graded schools for each race.
