CHAPTER 746 AN ACT TO ESTABLISH GRADED SCHOOLS IN MT, PROSPECT DISTRICT OF UNION COUNTY, AND FOR OTHER PUR- POSES. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

That the Board of Commissioners of Union County are authorized and required to order an election to be held in the said Mt. Prospect School District for the whites and colored of Union County, on the first Monday in May next, and at said election to submit to the qualified voters of said district the question of levying an annual special tax on the property and polls of white and colored persons in said district for the purpose of supporting and maintaining public schools for the whites and colored children in said school district.
