CHAPTER 59 AN ACT TO INCORPORATE THE CITY OF RALEIGH, AND TO REPEAL ITS PRESENT CHARTER AND ALL LAWS IN CONFLICT WITH: THIS ACT. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

The board of commissioners shall have the power to require all public-service corporations, and all people doing a public-servyice business in the city of Raleigh, to make such reports, and have a right to the inspection of such books and papers, as the North Carolina Corporation Commission has the right to require and inspect under the laws now enacted, or which may be enacted, with reference to public-service corporations doing business in the city of Raleigh.
