CHAPTER 211 AN ACT AMENDING CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY- FIVE, PRIVATE LAWS OF NORTH CAROLINA OF EIGHTEEN HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE, RELATING TO THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF FOUR OAKS, JOHN- STON COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA. The Generai Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
That the commissioners may establish and regulate all public buildings necessary and proper for the town, and y may prevent the erection or building of wooden buildings or structures in any part of the town where the same may increase the danger of fire, or where they may deem such buildings improper; that the said board of commissioners may also regulate and prescribe certain streets, blocks, and lots thereon on which negroes may reside, and certain streets, blocks, and lots on which white people may reside within the town.
