CHAPTER 114 AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 279 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1947 AS THE SAME APPLIES TO THE ELECTION OF TOWN COMMIS- SIONERS IN THE TOWN OF HILLSBOROUGH. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1 of Chapter 279 of the Session Laws of 1947 is amended by rewriting the first sentence thereof to read as follows: For the purpose of electing a mayor and commissioners at large, all of the Town of Hillsborough, North Carolina, there shall be held in said town on Tuesday after the first Monday in May, 1967, and biennially thereafter, a nonpartisan election.
