CHAPTER 164 AN ACT TO CREATE THE NORTH CAROLINA ARTS COUNCIL. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Executive Director. The Council shall appoint, in accordance with the State Personnel Act, an Executive Director who shall serve at the will of the Council. The Executive Director of the Council shall select and appoint, in accordance with the State Personnel Act, such other personnel as the Council shall determine to be necessary. The Executive Director shall employ on a contractual basis such other consultants and/or staff persons as the Council deems necessary, within funds allocated for such purposes.

The On the Books website is a product of a digital scholarship project and will not be maintained in perpetuity. The site will be reviewed December 31, 2024. Depending on use, funding, and maintenance required, the site may be decommissioned and archived at that time.
