CHAPTER 185 AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 88, PRIVATE LAWS OF 1887, BEING THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF SILER CITY, RELATING TO SALARIES OF THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 3 of Chapter 88, Private Laws of 1887, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following: The mayor shall receive such salary as the Town Board of Commissioners shall by ordinance determine. The mayors salary shall not be increased or decreased during the term for which he is elected. The Board of Commissioners, by ordinance, may establish a salary for its members, and such salary may be reduced or increased, but no increase shall be effective during the term in which the increase is voted.
