CHAPTER 237 AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 282, SESSION LAWS OF 1965, AND CHAPTER 115, SESSION LAWS OF 1963, THE SAME BEING THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LUMBERTON. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 9 of Article II of Chapter 115, Session Laws of 1963, is amended by adding at the end thereof the following: The councilman selected to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term, or during a disability as the case may be, shall be a resident of the ward in which the vacancy or disability occurs.
