CHAPTER 261 AN ACT TO REORGANIZE AND MERGE THE ANSON COUNTY AD- MINISTRATIVE SCHOOL UNIT, THE WADESBORO CITY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT AND THE MORVEN CITY SCHOOL AD- MINISTRATIVE UNIT INTO ONE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT UNDER ONE BOARD OF EDUCATION FOR ALL THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN ANSON COUNTY. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

On and after July 1, 1967, the Anson County Board of Education heretofore constituted and whose members shall take office on said date, and their successors in office, shall receive and hold all assets, liabilities, obligations, properties, funds and unexpended balances heretofore held by the Wadesboro City Board of Education and by the Morven City Board of Education, and said city boards of education shall transfer to the newly created Anson County Board of Education all documents, contracts, books, papers, letters and any and all files and accounting records relating to all the public schools existing within the newly reorganized Anson County School Administrative Unit. The newly created Anson County Board of Education assuming authority on July 1, 1967, shall have the power and authority to consolidate and take over any and all budgets which shall have been previously prepared by the Wadesboro City Board of Education and by the Morven City Board of Education and approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
