CHAPTER 277 AN ACT TO AMEND THE MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY RESPONSI- BILITY ACT OF 1953, CHAPTER 20, ARTICLE 9A, ARTICLE 10 AND ARTICLE 11 OF THE GENERAL STATUTES OF NORTH CAROLINA, TO INCREASE THE PRESENT REQUIRED MINIMUM LIMITS OF PROOF OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
G. S. 20-279.21, as the same appears in the 1965 Replacement Volume 1C of the General Statutes of North Carolina, is hereby amended by striking out of line eight of subdivision -2 of subsection (b) thereof the words and amount five thousand dollars ($5,000.00)) and by substituting in lieu thereof the words and amount: ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00), and by striking out of line 10 of subdivision -2 of subsection (b) thereof the words and amount ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) and substituting in lieu thereof the words and amount: twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00), and by deleting the remainder of the sentence beginning after the semicolon (;) in line 11 of subsection (b) of subdivision -3 and continuing to the period (.) in line 18 thereof, and by substituting in lieu of the semicolon in line 11 a period (.).
