CHAPTER 278 AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE WILKES COUNTY BOARD OF EDU- CATION TO CONVEY CERTAIN LANDS TO THE TOWN OF WILKESBORO. WHEREAS, the Wilkes County Board of Education is the owner of certain property located in Wilkes County in the Town of Wilkesboro which property was given to said board of education by the Parent Teachers Association of the Town of Wilkesboro for use as a playground at the Wilkesboro High School; and WHEREAS, since said gift of said lands to said board of education, Wilkesboro High School has been consolidated with North Wilkesboro High School and said new consolidated High School is at a location some distance from said lands; and WHEREAS, the Wilkes County Board of Education desires to convey said tract of land to the Town of Wilkesboro in order that said tract of land, or the proceeds therefrom, shall be used for recreational purposes only: Now, therefore, The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification. In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 3rd day of May, 1967 H. B. 150
