CHAPTER 316 AN ACT INCREASING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE AVERY COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FROM THREE TO FIVE AND PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF THE ADDITIONAL MEMBERS. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

At the election of county officers to be held in Avery County in 1968, there shall be elected three county commissioners. At said election the candidate receiving the highest number of votes shall serve for a term of four years, and the other two candidates who are elected shall serve for a term of two years.
