CHAPTER 322 AN ACT TO FIX THE NUMBER OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE TOWN OF HUDSON AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMISSIONERS. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

The number of Commissioners of the Town of Hudson shall consist of six members who shall be elected in the general election held 356 in May, 1969, when a Mayor is also elected. The Mayor, and the three Commissioners receiving the highest number of votes, will be elected for a term of two years and the three Commissioners receiving the next highest votes shall be elected for a term of one year. The Mayor and Commissioners will begin serving their term of office on July 1st after the election. And after the election held in May, 1969, all Commissioners together with the Mayor will be elected for a term of two years. The election shall be held each year on Tuesday after the first Monday in May.
