CHAPTER 37 AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ELECTION OF THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF ROCKWELL, PROVIDING FOR PRIMARY ELECTION. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

That at the primary and municipal election held in the Town of Rockwell in 1967 and every two years thereafter there shall be nominated and elected in the Town of Rockwell by the qualified voters thereof a mayor who shall serve for a term of two years, beginning on July first after his election and until his successor is elected and qualified. Also at the primary and municipal election held in the Town of Rockwell in 1967 and every two years thereafter there shall be nominated and elected in the Town of Rockwell by the qualified voters thereof five aldermen who shall serve for a term of two years, beginning on July first after their election and until their successors are elected and qualified. The mayor and members of the board of aldermen shall be sworn into office at the meeting on the day that their terms begin.
