CHAPTER 371 AN ACT TO FIX THE COMPENSATION OF CERTAIN OFFICIALS OF McDOWELL COUNTY AND TO REPEAL CHAPTER 893, SESSION LAWS OF 1959, AS AMENDED. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
The Sheriff of McDowell County shall receive as compensation for his services an annual salary to be fixed by the Board of County Commissioners of said county in an amount of not less than five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), nor more than eight thousand two hundred dollars ($8,200.00), payable monthly out of the general fund of said county. The sheriff shall also be paid an expense allowance of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per month.
