CHAPTER 397 AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 279 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1947 TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF ELECTIONS OF ORANGE COUNTY TO CONDUCT ELECTIONS OF THE TOWN OF HILLS- BOROUGH. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 2 of Chapter 279 of the Session Laws of 1947 is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof a new sentence to read as follows: For the purposes of this Act, the term general election shall be deemed to mean elections for State and county officers.
