CHAPTER 353 An act to establish graded schools in the town of Rocky Mount. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

That the said Board of Graded School Trustees and their successors, shall be, and are hereby constituted, a body corporate by the name and style of The Board of Graded School ‘ Trustees of Rocky Mount; and by that name may sue and be , sued, plead and be impleaded, contract and be contracted with, ‘ acquire by gift, purchase or dvise, real and personal property, hold, exchange, mortgage or sell the same, and exercise such other rights and privileges as are incident to other corporations. And said corporation shall have a corporate seal, which it may break and change at pleasure.
