POH Ae TER 40:00:00 Av act to amend the charter of the town of Statesville. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact :
That no mayor or alderman or other officer of said city shall directly or indirectly become a contractor for work to be done for the city, and any person herein offending shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
