CHAPTER 148 An act to provide for local assessments in aid of public schools, The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact :
The said treasurer shall, when required so to do by said board, produce his books and youchers for examination, and shall also exhibit all moneys due said districts at each settlement required by this act.
