CHAPTER 51 AN ACT TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF AYDEN. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
The corporate limits of the Town of Ayden are hereby extended so as to include the following additional described area within the corporate limits of the Town of Ayden: BEGINNING at a point where the present northern city limits of Ayden crosses East College Street extended and running thence with the present city limits in a westerly direction 1600 feet more or less to a corner in said boundary which corner is East of Blount Street; thence continuing with the present city limits in a northerly direction 980 feet more or less to another corner; thence continuing with the present city limits in a westerly direction 375 feet more or less to a corner; thence continuing with the present city limits in a northerly direction 200 feet more or less to another corner; thence continuing with the present city limits in a westerly direction to the center of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad; thence with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, North 7 degrees 20 minutes East 1389 feet to a point in the northern property line of Hines Drive (County Road No. 1122); thence with the northern property line of Hines Drive the following courses and distances: North 86 degrees 24 minutes East, 100 feet; South 85 degrees 25 minutes East, 100 feet; South 83 degrees 41 minutes East, 100 feet; South 82 degrees 47 minutes East, 1090.5 feet to a point opposite the eastern property line of East College Street extended; thence with the eastern property line of East College Street (County Road No. 1721) 1897.5 feet to a concrete marker; thence continuing with the eastern property line of East College Street the following courses and distances: South 11 degrees 41 minutes East, 41 feet; South 9 degrees 56 minutes East, 100 feet; South 5 degrees 14 minutes East, 100 feet; South 0 degrees 21 minutes East, 100 feet; South 4 degrees 92 21 minutes West, 100 feet; South 5 degrees 45 minutes West, 352.6 feet to the BEGINNING, being the same property as is shown on that map made by Jack McDavid, Jr. and John R. Dixon, Jr., dated March, 1966, showing the proposed city limit extension, Town of Ayden, North Carolina.
