CHAPTER 191 AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE A REFERENDUM IN THE TOWN OF EDENTON ON THE QUESTION OF AMENDING CHAPTER 1013 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1961 TO ABOLISH THE TOWN BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Board of Elections of Chowan County may, in lieu of giving notice of the 1967 Edenton town election at the time prescribed by any other law, give notice of the same in the usual manner at a time or times subsequent to the ratification of this Act and prior to such election. Any notice heretofore given of the 1967 Edenton town election or of the referendum authorized by Section 1 hereof, insofar as the same does not conflict with the provisions of this Act, is hereby legalized, ratified, approved, validated, and confirmed.
