CHAPTER 415 AN ACT DIRECTING THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF MITCHELL COUNTY TO APPROPRIATE $1,200 TO THE NORTH CAROLINA RHODODENDRON FESTIVAL ON ROAN MOUNTAIN IN MITCHELL COUNTY. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

The Board of Commissioners of Mitchell County is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to appropriate from any available 435 funds an amount not exceeding twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00) to the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Rhododendron Festival on Roan Mountain in Mitchell County; said funds to be paid in equal annual installments of six hundred dollars ($600.00) during the years 1967 and 1968 The funds so appropriated shall be utilized by the Board of Directors of the Rhododendron Festival in promoting the Festival generally and for the special purpose of attracting visitors from other parts of North Carolina and from outside the State to the Festival itself and to the mountain areas of North Carolina, and for any other useful and necessary purpose and expense of the annual Rhododendron Festival.
