That section one of chapter three hundred and twenty-one, Public-Local Laws of one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, be and the same is hereby amended by adding at the end of said section, the following: Provided, the compensa- tion of said auditor shall not exceed the sum of one thousand eight hundred dollars per annum.
