CHAPTER 7 AN ACT TO AMEND G. 8S. 153-6 RELATING TO FILLING VACANCIES ON THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IN CHEROKEE COUNTY. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
G. S. 153-6 is hereby amended by striking the period at the end of the Section, substituting therefor a semicolon, and adding the following words: And provided further that in Cherokee County the County Executive Committee of the political party to which the commissioner causing the vacancy belonged shall appoint a person from that political party to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term.
