CHAPTER 184 AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 36 OF THE PRIVATE LAWS OF 908, EXTRA SESSION, AND CHAPTER 770 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1963, TO PROVIDE FOUR-YEAR TERMS FOR OFFICIALS OF THE TOWN OF BAILEY. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

The term of office of the member or members of the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Bailey who were elected in 1966 is hereby extended until filled at the regular 1969 election. The board of commissioners is hereby authorized, but not required, to fill by appointment any existing vacancy among the members thereof who were elected in 1966, such appointee to serve until such office is filled at the regular 1969 election.
