CHAPTER 498 AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF THE FIREMANS RELIEF FUND TO MUNICIPALITIES HAVING VOL- UNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS COMPOSED ENTIRELY OF COLORED FIREMEN. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

In all cases in which a municipality has a colored volunteer fire department with or without a fire chief of the white race, the attendance of an accredited delegate from said fire department at the regular annual meeting of the colored State Firemans Association shall be deemed a compliance with G. S. 118-10, and, in this respect, shall be a sufficient compliance with said Section to entitle such municipality to receive, for the use and benefit of the local Board of Trustees of the Fireman’s Local Relief Fund, its proportionate part of the funds disbursed under the provisions of Chapter 118 of the General Statutes, if otherwise eligible.
