AN ACT AMENDING THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF WILMINGTON.

The General Assembly of North Carlind do enact, That so much of section four of An act to ingorporate the inhabitants of the Town of Wilmington, ratifled February Ist, 1866, as required a residence of six months within the corporate limits of said City, and a residence of thirty days in any particular Ward, in order to entitle any person to vote for Mayor or Mlderthdn) be, and the same is hereby repealed, and all citizens of fae State who shall have resided within the corpor ate limits of said City for thirty days next before the day of election, and who have resided five days within the Ward where they offer to vote, shall be entitled to vote for Mayor and Aldermen, and all other officers that are now, or may hereafter be voted for within the corporate limits of said City.
