CHAPTER CLXIV. AN ACT FOR THE MORE EFFECTUAL PROSECUTION OF OFFENDERS AGAINST THE CRIMINAL LAWS OF THE STATE.

That for each case in which the Solicitor shall appear and prosecute, or assist in prosecuting, he shall be allowed twenty dollars, and that if he cannot appear himself, by reason of a conflict of the time of holding his courts, or other good cause, he may appoint some one to act in his stead, who shall receive like compensation, and that the prosecuting attorney shall be paid said fee by the treasurer of the State upon the warrant of the Auditor.
