CHAPTER 291 AN ACT FOR THE RELIEF OF THE SURETIES OF JOHN W. MALLETT, LATE TAX COLLECTOR OF FAYETTEVILLE. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact :

That the sureties on the official bond of Jonn W. Mallett, late tax collector of the town of Fayetteville, be and they are hereby authorized to collect all arrearages of taxes for the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six under the same rules and regulations as are now prescribed for the regular collection of taxes in said town, and the power and authority hereby granted shall cease on the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty.
