CHAPTER 73 AN ACT TO GIVE CERTAIN COLORED PERSONS THE RIGHT OF INHERITANCE. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact :

That the children of colored parents born at any time before the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, of persons living together _ as man and wife, are hereby declared legitimate children of such parents or either one of them, with all the rights of heirs-at-law and next kin, with respect to the estate or estates of any such parents, or either one of them.
