CHAPTER 58 AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION TWENTY OF CHAPTER SEVENTY OF THE LAWS OF EIGHTEEN HUNDRED AND SEVENTY- NINE. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact :
That section twenty of chapter seventy of laws of eighteen hundred and seventy-nine be and the same is hereby amended by striking out in the second line thereof the words an annual tax of five dollars, and inserting in lieu thereof the words following, to-wit : a tax of one-half of one per cent. on his amount of sales therein.
