CHAPTER 155 An act to prevent the felling of timber in Jacobs and Henrys Forks and South Fork rivers and their tributaries in Barke, Catawba, Lincoln and Gaston counties, and to repeal chapter seventy-four, private laws of one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact :

That it shall be unlawfnl for any person owning or operating mills on the aforesaid steams in Catawba and Burke counties, to cause or permit any slabs, slabedges, scraps, straps or pieces of shingles or other lumber to be thrown into said streams.
