CHAPTER 188 An act to establish a graded school in the town of Monroe. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact :
The principal and teachers of such graded school shall not be subject to the restrictions and limitations as to salary prescribed by section fifty-one of chapter sixty-eight of Battles Revisal, but may be paid such compensation as the board of trustees may deem just and proper: Provided, that no trustee of such school shall, while acting as such, be a teacher therein.
