CHAPTER 418 An act to authorize the construction of a public ferry across the Great Pee Dee river inthe counties of Anson and Richmond. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

That one landing of said ferry shall be situated on the bank of said river in Richmond county at such point within two hundred -200 yards of Blewitts old ferry landing as the said Townsend may select. And that the other landing shall be on the Anson county bank of said river, at a point as nearly opposite the landing on the bank in Richmond county as can be conveniently located, and the termini of said ferry so located by said Townsend shall be deemed and held the termini of said ferry.
