CHAPTER 405 An act to provide for the reduction of costs in the enforcement of the stock law in Chatham county. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact :

That the county commissioners of the county of Chatham are hereby authorized and instructed to provide for the enforcement of the stock law as contained in chapter twenty of volume two of The Code, in any township or district of said county, whenever a majority of the qualified voters thereof shall petition therefor: Provided, that before granting any such petition the said commissioners shall give thirty days public notice of the time and place when and where they will hear said petition.
