CHAPTER 264 An act to prevent the introduction and dissemination of dan- gerous insects, fungus and weed pests of crops. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact :

That for the purpose of this act the State Commissioner of Agriculture, the Director of the North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station, and the President of the North Carolina State Horticultural Society are hereby constituted a commission for the extermination of noxious insects, fungus diseases and weeds which are affecting or may affect crops. They are empowered to select one of their members chairman and to adopt rules and regulations for their own goyernment, such as may be requisite for carrying out the provisions of this act. The members of the said commission shall receive no salary, and shall be allowed only such expenses as have been specifieally incurred and necessary in attending the meetings of the commission. :
