CHAPTER 243 An act to revise, amend and consolidate the act of incorporation of the town of Louisburg, North Carolina, and the acts amendatory thereof. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

That they may provide for the establishment, organization, equipment, government and pay of such members of fire companies as they shalldeem necessary and proper; that in case of a fire occuring in said town the mayor, or in his absence a majority of the fire committee who may be present, may order the blowing up or pulling down or destroying any house or other structure deemed necessary to stop the progress of the fire, and Priv45 no person shall be liable, civilly or criminally, for acting in such case in obedience to such orders, but the town shall be liable to pay a fair price for the same.
