CHAPTER 262 An act to amend the charter of the town of Clayton. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
That the board of commissioners shall have power to fix the salary of the mayor, treasurer, clerk, tax collector and any other officer of the town, or increase or diminish the same from time to time as they may elect.
