CHAPTER 17. An act to regulate the issuing of liquor license in Northampton county. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
That if a majority of the qualified voters of any township in said county shall sign a petition asking the Judge to issue an order for a license to sell liquors to any person, the same shall be granted unless it appears that the applicant is an unfit person to retail liquors.
