CHAPTER 752 An act to regulate primary elections. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Nothing in this act shall be held or construed to make the holding of primary elections compulsory, but it shall be left to the option of the Executive Committee of each party of each county, township, city or town to which this act applies to elect whether or not for each party a primary election shall be held instead of a convention.
