CHAPTER 424 AN ACT TO AMEND AND CONSOLIDATE THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF SMITHFIELD, NORTH CAROLINA. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

That for any breach of his official bond by the treasurer, clerk, tax collector or any other town officer who may be required to give an official bond, he shall be liable in an action on the same in the name of the town, at the suit of the town or any person aggrieved by such breach, and the same may be put in suit without assignment, from time to time, until the whole penalty be recovered. .
