CHAPTER 60 AN ACT TO INCORPORATE ELIZABETH LODGE No. 217, OF THE INDEPENDENT ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS. The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
That the said corporation and their successors, by the name, style and title aforesaid, shall be forever hereafter capable in law to sue and be sued, to plead and be impleaded, answer and be answered unto, defend and be defended in any and all courts of justice and before any and all judges, officers or persons whatsoever in all and singular actions or matters or: demands whatsoever.
